Controlled, cold at the beginning, it was delightful to see how much he’s changed by the end of the story. I felt that the author didn’t really know how to deal with it in the end though. There’s a real threat at the center of the story right from the beginning, and it’s the catalyst they need to push their relationship further, bit by bit. There’s been some suspense in This much is true and Twist of fate, but this book takes it to a new level. Seduction, support, understanding, protectiveness… They’ll need to go through all of that–and a couple traumatizing experiences–before they admit their feelings. And the whole book is the story of how they learn to like each other. You feel that Sly and Spencer don’t really like each other at first, but that they experience an irresistible attraction to each other. I hadn’t seen that much chemistry between two characters in a long time. I thought the author’s previous book was good. Trouble is a stand-alone enemies-to-lovers billionaire-boss romance.

Spencer Carrollton always gets what he wants. Until he pulls me out of danger and insists I move in with him to be safe.Īs the nights pass and we grow closer, I know I’m losing this fight. He’s an arrogant billionaire who thinks I’ll fall at his feet, but I’m not going down that road again. He’s possessive, demanding, and the best sex I’ve ever had. I never get involved with clients, but Spencer Carrollton is wickedly handsome in a bespoke suit. Then he gave me a job when I needed it the most. But his naughty eyes flashed, his full lips curled into a knowing smile, and I should have run. When I collided with him at my cousin’s wedding, I wasn’t looking for love. Spencer Carrollton is a dark-haired, hazel-eyed beast.

Legend has it, the man you kiss at a wedding is the man you’ll marry.
